Jim Anderson joined Switchfast Technologies as CFO in 2005, and became the company’s CEO in 2010. Jim has helped grow Switchfast, through 8 consecutive years on INC5000 America’s Fastest-Growing Companies (‘07-‘14), with a passionate focus on driving employee engagement, client satisfaction and constant business improvement. Jim led the company’s implementation of the EOS system made famous by the book Traction. Before joining Switchfast, Jim worked at General Electric, holding various finance leadership roles covering areas of Controllership, Commercial Financial Analysis and Manufacturing Finance. A UConn grad with degrees in Finance and English Literature, Jim is a founding member of a peer advisory group at Vistage International and a board member of his neighborhood high school’s community non-profit group, Friends of Amundsen.
Nik is the Chief Technology Officer at Switchfast. He is responsible for the overall client experience delivered by the Operations Team and works every day to maximize and protect Switchfast’s clients' investment in their IT infrastructure. With over 12 years of experience in IT managed services, Nik joined Switchfast as a Systems Engineer and helped build the company into the thriving business it is today. Prior to joining Switchfast, Nik leveraged his passion for technology by building servers, networks and websites for organizations including The University of Chicago and Browne & Miller Literary Associates. Nik received a bachelor’s degree from University of Michigan and a Master’s from The University of Chicago.
Director of Finance
Craig is the Director of Finance at Switchfast and manages the company’s accounting and controllership, financial planning and analysis and application development. Craig is relied upon to manage complex projects and provide keen analytic and operational insights which result in stronger service for Switchfast clients. Before joining the Switchfast team in 2011, Craig held multiple positions at General Electric Financial, Citi Cards, myEarth360.com and Iron-Grey Management Consultants. Craig received a bachelor’s degree from Bradley University and an MBA from Northern Illinois University.
Chief Client Services Officer
Rick is the Chief Client Services Officer at Switchfast. He is responsible for developing effective methods of gathering, analyzing and tabulating customer satisfaction data to continually improve Switchfast service. Rick brings vast organizational experience and innovation to Switchfast. Before joining the company, Rick served as Principal Consultant at Organizational Sciences Corporation. Prior to that, Rick held a number of leadership positions, including as Founder and CEO of the award-winning cloud software startup BizDox, and as President and COO of the IT services company Intrust Group. Rick earned his BS in Computer Engineering from Michigan State University.
Director of Sales and Marketing
The newest member to the Switchfast Technologies Executive Team, Tim Schmitt, serves as Director of Sales and Marketing. In collaboration with Switchfast’s sister-company, Simple Machines Marketing, Tim is charged with responsible growth and client acquisition, through: inbound/outbound sales and marketing, events and strategic partnership programs. Formally a Switchfast Technologies customer for five years, Tim joins us after leading a 100 person, multi-location, 24/7 retail and wholesale bakery for 10 years. As CEO, Tim hired Switchfast to manage the company’s entire IT infrastructure so he could focus on his business. From 2010 – 2016, he was a founding member of a small business peer advisory group at Vistage International. Tim worked as a Sales Executive for Dell from 2002 – 2006, providing datacenter solutions to the SMB marketplace and served as Director of Technology for a startup company from 2000 - 2003. Tim earned his BS in Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana. Tim lives in Evanston, IL along with his wife and two sons.
As a client assigned vCIO (Chief Information Officer), Chris focuses on building and maintaining Technology Roadmaps, planning clients’ IT budgets, and working with the clients to develop and implement strategic IT goals. Starting his Switchfast career in 2003, Chris Barker began as a Support Technician. Throughout the years, he has held multiple positions in the company, including Network Engineer, Strategic Account Executive and now vCIO. Chris is an alumni of the University of Illinois.
Brandon's responsibilities as a client assigned vCIO (Chief Information Officer) include client strategy development and budgeting, conducting quarterly business reviews, building strong relationships with clients and coordinating with vendors. Brandon has been with Switchfast since 2010, starting as a marketing intern. From there, Brandon became an Account Manager, and eventually earned the vCIO position. Brandon has a bachelor’s degree in Integrated Marketing Communications from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale.
