Three Thoughts on Choosing an IT Company
Thursday, May 13, 2010 by Matt Hymel
In a recent piece for The Examiner, Amy Leigh
offers three general pieces of advice that will go a long way in
helping you identify the most cost-effective IT solutions for your
individual needs and price range. It's also worth mentioning that
she uses Switchfast as an example of a company doing things the
right way, which gives the article bonus points in our book!
Definitely check out the full article here. Below is a quick
summary of the suggestions Leigh makes:
1. Pick a company that offers
appropriate services. The most important aspect of IT is
getting the correct services at the right price. Also, consider
over time that your needs may change through growth and adversity -
a company that offers more than one service may be a helpful
long-term investment.
2. Become familiar with one - or two or three - of the
companies representatives. IT should be viewed as a
partnership where both companies will benefit from each other's
success. Take the time to get to know who you are working with -
they should be just as excited about your business as you!
3. Ask for referrals or contact their
customers. Aside from hearing the IT company's story,
learn about some of the companies they've assisted and served
because this will give you a great indication of what to look
forward to in terms of quality of work and service.
Until Next Time -
