Windows Patch Tuesday Update Producing Blue Screen
Friday, February 12, 2010 by Matt Hymel
Users were finally relieved to receive the major updates
promised to Windows operating customers. However, that
excitement soon turned to frustration.
With complaints beginning early Wednesday, Microsoft users began
to report that the security updates released by Microsoft had
crippled Windows XP PCs by leaving the infamous Blue Screen of
Death (BSoD).
The complaints grew and eventually a growing support thread was
created to discuss the issue and communicate with others who had
the problem.
Comments ranging from "there is something seriously wrong with
the update" and "I am this much closer to switching over to a Mac
for good" indicate the severity of the issue, one that Microsoft
needs to address as soon as possible.
