Outlook Calendar Sharing Instructions
To Share your Calendar:
Click the Calendar button on the lower left
side of the window. In the left navigation panel, click
Share My Calendar or right click your calendar in
the left navigation panel, and choose Sharing… (Outlook
2003) or Change Sharing Permissions… (Outlook 2007).
To allow anyone to access your calendar:
- In the Name box, click Default.
- Under the Permissions area, in the Permission Level list,
select the permission level that you want to give to users (i.e.
allow reading of items, allow creating items, allow deleting
items). You can create custom permissions by selecting the check
boxes and options under the Read, Write, Delete items, Other
areas.
To specifiy who can access your calendar:
- Click the Add button.
- In the Add Users dialog box, find the user you want to
give access to. Click Add -> so the user shows
up in the box on the bottom, and then click
OK.
- In the Name box, click the name of the person you just
added.
- Under Permissions, in the Permission Level list, click the
permission level that you want give to the user. You can create
custom permissions by selecting the check boxes and options under
the Read, Write, Delete items, Other areas.
To Open A Shared Calendar:
You can quickly view another person's calendar from the Calendar
navigation panel. After the first time you access another person's
folder, the shared folder is added to the Calendar navigation
panel.
Open another person's calendar
You can view up to 30 calendars side-by-side in Calendar.
- Click the Calendar button on the lower left
side of the window. In the navigation panel click
Open a Shared Calendar.
- To select a person's name from the address book, click Name or
type the name in the Name box.
- The new calendar will appear to the side of any calendar
already in the view.
