We are looking to hire a System Administrator that is an experienced, resourceful, personable, leader that takes pride in providing outstanding service. This is a great opportunity for a knowledgeable person to learn a lot more and become part of a dynamic company.

The ideal candidate must have experience with Windows, ideally Windows Server 2008, including Active Directory domain creation, Windows security, server migrations (between server versions), IIS, DNS, building resilient systems with redundancy, backup and recovery, and some basic networking. Special consideration will be given to experience with Exchange (2007 and above), VMware ESX/ESXi (v3.5 and above), and Terminal Server/Remote Desktop Server. Any advanced networking experience with Cisco, SonicWALL, VLANs, VPNs, and advanced routing is a major plus. Please be prepared to provide specific examples of your work in the aforementioned areas. As this position involves travel within the Chicagoland area, candidates must have use of a car on a daily basis. (mileage is reimbursed).

Candidates must possess the ability to interact with business owners without the use of technical jargon. One must be able to drop into an emergency situation, assess, plan and execute a solution quickly and effectively. You'll be designing and implementing cost-effective, secure, redundant, self-healing systems for our clients. We are looking for someone highly reliable and well organized, capable of balancing several projects and maintaining priorities, and someone interested in and capable of mentoring less experienced administrators and technicians.

Education/Experience Required:

A 4-Year Degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a related field is preferred; however this requirement may be waived if the applicant has necessary related experience.  Microsoft server certification preferred.
