Junior Business Development/Marketing Associate

Switchfast is a growing technology and marketing company (Inc 5000 fastest growing businesses the last five years) located on the north side of Chicago. We are looking to add a Junior Business Development/Marketing Associate to our team.

This position works alongside a small team of Junior Marketing Associates and reports to the Director of Business Development. The main responsibility is setting sales appointments for the sales team while periodically working on marketing projects and other initiatives as needed by the internal marketing department.  This position is 30 or so hours per week to start, moving to 40 based on availability and performance (discussed at 30 day review).

This position is ideal for a recent graduate looking to get a head start on their career. We are seeking candidates who are interested in earning a full-time position based on results. Nine of our 65+ full-time, salaried employees have started in this role.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Outreach (cold calls, warm calling, emails) to small and medium sized businesses to cultivate interest in Switchfast services. (Expectation is 85 new calls per day)
  • Strategically contacting and following up with businesses to set sales appointments for Switchfast Account Executives.
  • Assist with marketing projects as needed by Marketing Department - hosted events, online events, referrals, social media channels, and more.

Requirements:

  • College degree or equivalent experience
  • Great phone presence; comfortable speaking with business owners, executives, etc
  • Comfortable making cold calls
  • Coachable with a willingness to learn
  • Impeccable oral and written communication skills
  • Extremely organized with a keen eye and attention for detail
  • Self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Strong work ethic

Compensation: $8.25/hour plus commission
